Name: Fabinho
Position: Centre Midfield
Number: 3
Born: Campinas, Brazil – 23/10/93
Fabinho joined the Redmen on May 28, 2018 – he joined right after the season’s end out of nowhere – there was no previous links in the media and Liverpool showed a new found efficiency in the transfer market by pulling off the signing of one of Europe’s top Defensive Midfielders without a mention of it anywhere.
Fabinho signed for Liverpool after five years in Monaco where he won the French league with the very good Monaco side of the 2016-2017 season. Liverpool paid around £40m for the Brazilian, a pretty reasonable fee for a very highly rated player in a market that was already hugely inflating at that time.
He has since gone on to cement a place in Liverpool’s starting eleven and would probably be the first midfield name on the team sheet for most fans and, seemingly, for Kloop too.
A tough tackling midfielder with an eye for a pass and ability to control the game from a holding position. Fabinho seems to be getting better and he can be handily summed up using one word, “Boss”!
