Match Report: West Ham United vs Liverpool FC

West Ham United vs Liverpool FC

Liverpool play their game in hand tonight away to West Ham in an effort to go 19 points clear at the summit of the Premier League! The Reds need to win 9 more games out of their last 16 games to guarantee the League Title. Can we make it 1 down and 8 to go tonight?

Liverpool have won 31 of their last 30 matches in the league, and 22 of 23 so far this season, if we avoid defeat tonight then that will be 41 games unbeaten, a league record for Liverpool and just 8 of Arsenal’s invincibles team of 2004/2005. The game to equal that record will be our away game at the Etihad.

Team News:

Sadio Mane will miss out for Liverpool with a muscle tear – not a serious injury but he’ll likely miss this game and one more Premier League game before rejoining his teammates for training.

Liverpool made 11 changes for the recent FA Cup game and are likely to make close to another 11 tonight – expect pretty much the strongest possible team as Jurgen Klopp will be taking no chances with Premier League games.

West Ham have injuries to Anderson, Yarmolenko, Masuaka, and Jack Wilshere, while Snodgrass and goalkeeper Fabianski will have late fitness tests and could return.

Match Prediction:

Mo Salah has not scored in London in 9 attempts so expect the Egyptian to put that right tonight, he usually does!

Liverpool are a machine but they usually just do enough to win and often take their foot off the gas when they are ahead, also we have won 10 games 2-1 this season so don’t be surprised if that is the outcome.
