Liverpool’s Premier League homecoming parade is expected on the 18th of May should they go on to win the Premier League title. Our last League game of the season is away to Newcastle United on the 17th. Liverpool are likely to have a second homecoming parade should we go on to win the Champions League.
Booking hotels on that date in Merseyside is already close to impossible. There are rumours of some crazy prices for accommodation so if you live outside Merseyside and want to go, you might need to bring a tent! Or perhaps just come for the day. More info on this as we get it. Not ideal for some but on a more positive note, we are gonna win the League and it’s a long time since we’ve been sure of that! So wherever you are, enjoy the celebrations! YNWA.
UPDATE: I’ve just checked Booking.com for hotels in liverpool on the 18th of May and only 4 or 5 results were returned. They were actually reasonably priced but I’ve never seen such low results being returned, or anything close to as low. This parade isn’t confirmed, we haven’t won the League yet, but I’d be amazed if there isn’t a parade on the 18th now. Remember last season the council planned to hold 2 parades, one on the Monday following the final Premier League game and one after the Champions League final. The 18th is a Monday. Get your tents ready!
