UEFA Postpone Euro Championship to Allow Time to Complete Domestic Seasons

European Football’s governing body has postponed the June 2020 European Championship tournament until June 2021 in order to give domestic seasons more time to complete.

This looks like really good news for Liverpool’s chances of completing the season and winning the title. As it stands, we play Man City on April 4th and a win at the Etihad would mathematically secure the title for the Redmen. That game is probably not going to go ahead though as unfortunately the virus will have taken a much greater hold in the UK by then.

The Premier League will meet on Thursday to discuss these latest developments. So far it seems all Premier League clubs are keen to have the season reach its conclusion. Some may have toyed with the idea of trying to have it cancelled but stark warnings of serious financial consequences seemed to have put that to bed.

It seems that leagues will have until the end of June to complete the season so hopefully that gives us plenty of time but we’ll know more after tomorrow’s meeting. In the meantime, keep the faith and up da Reds! #YNWA
